Yup, you're a Maximizer: someone who always feels a better chance is at the next turn. It's natural to experience boredom at work, but maybe before you decide to resign (again) ask yourself the following questions first.
Are you unhappy at work?
If yes, then please look for work elsewhere (especially if you are in a job that is not your passion or maybe your boss has not maximized your potential or your salary has not increased in the last two years). But if you're actually happy but want to move just because you're “bored” or want “a new challenge”, well , maybe you should think ten times before deciding to move. When bored, find a new rhythm in the office, and if you want a new challenge, ask your boss for more responsibility.
Are you really that ambitious?
Yes, is the career path so important to you that you often use that excuse to justify moving offices? There's nothing wrong with being ambitious . But remember, don't let this make you exhausted yourself and feel there is an "emptiness" because you don't have friends or life partners. Maximize your professional potential but don't neglect your personal life. You don't wanna come home to an empty house, do you?
Are you a FOMO person?
Basically, a maximizer tends to be FOMO ( Fear of Missing Out) : They are afraid of missing out on opportunities to maximize/show off their talents. And there are always better company that offers better environment than where you're working now. Ladies , it's not easy to adapt to a new environment, you know and being a "jumping bug" will definitely be viewed negatively by the company you're after. Do not let you get the syndrome "you don't know what you got 'till it's gone" : write down the pros and cons between your decision to stay in the old place or move to a new office. It will help a lot!
