How to Overcome Nervousness During Presentations



Talking is easy, anyone can do it. But what if you are required to speak in public? Well , don't panic. Before the task comes from the boss, Cosmo leaks out some tips for dealing with your nervous race.



Master the Material



The best way to relieve nervousness is to master your presentation material. No need to memorize, but understand. Decide in advance on which points you want to emphasize, where you want to go fast and slow, and on what pages you want to repeat some of the information you think is important.



Avoid Eye Contact



Avoid eye contact with the audience , because it can make you very nervous because all eyes are looking at you when you are presenting. Well , to avoid it you don't have to look away, just look at them on the forehead.



Exercise



Never assume that those who have appeared in public have never been nervous. They can because it's normal! Therefore, practice a few days before appearing in public. You can really practice in front of the mirror or in your room regularly and continuously.

Even if you only have a little time, go to the bathroom to make sure you look presentable. Make sure your hair and make-up are neat, make sure there are no food residues on your teeth. All of these things can make you feel confident and less nervous.



Breathing



Nervousness will interfere with your breathing. You will begin to breathe shallowly and irregularly. Simply put, try to take a few deep breaths and exhale slowly. Deep breaths will calm you down.
